The Wedding of Jason and Miranda (sneak preview)

The Wedding of Jason and Miranda (sneak preview)

This was a great wedding. Temperatures in the high 20’s, about 12 people trying to get ready in one room before the ceremony at one point, horses, a lovely church and a great set of family and friends. Not to mention Jason and Miranda and their five ace kids! In the interests of honesty it was a bit more relaxed where Miranda was getting compared to where Jason was getting ready but then again that might have been to do with the glasses of champagne Miranda’s mum was offering to everyone. This was a really special day and hopefully the images below capture something of the story of their day.

The Wedding of Gavin and Sophie (sneak preview)

It was a great privilege to be asked to do the wedding photography for long standing friend Sophie. She and Gavin seem to be made for each other and just look so happy together. The day went brilliantly and the occasional downpours timed themselves pretty well all things considered. The Inn at Woburn http://www.woburn.co.uk/inn/ offered warm hospitality, excellent food and chance for some photographs on the Woburn Estate. Congratulations Sophie and Gavin.

The Wedding of Martin and Leanne (Sneak Preview)

What a great day at the Peak Edge Hotel for the wedding of Martin and Leanne. Throughout the day we had a mixture of sunshine, grey skies and even snow! Martin and Leanne make a great couple and were evidently surrounded by lovely friends and family. Here are a selection of photos from the big day.

When we got to meet him at the Black and White Photography Magazine workshop I expected him to be a bit cynical – especially as a seasoned pro who has been taking pictures for forty years. The opposite was true and in his introduction to the portraiture workshop he commented on what a privilege it is to be able to take pictures – not least as you have the opportunity to create something magic and original – potentially every time you pick up your camera! It got me thinking why I am so drawn to photography. For me (as a bit of a romantic) I love to capture a moment or an emotion – maybe in part, in an attempt to cheat time! I also…
